Fundraising

We’ve had huge support since Jamie died and we’d like to thank ALL our family and friends, as well as the local and wider community, for their generous donations. Special thanks also go to the following fundraisers and we’ve included links to their events.

Cardiac Risk in the Young

The Jamie Loncaster Memorial Fund is the main focus of fundraising and all money raised under that title goes into the fund administered by Cardiac Risk in the Young. The fund is ring-fenced so that Jamie’s family can direct the spending within guidelines set out by CRY. Currently the aim is to direct the spending towards local heart screening for young people. The family has also raised money for Yorkshire Ambulance Charitable Fund in recognition of the amazing effort and support of the paramedics on the day Jamie died. We continue our support of YASCF and have a dedicated online donations page in Jamie’s memory.

All money raised is earmarked to support the roll-out of AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators) in the Yorkshire area. Jamie’s family has donated an AED to their local Playing Fields Association, in memory of Jamie. YAS Charitable Fund - Jamie's Page
